About the Firm

Cathleen A. Mullen, Esq.

Mullen Law PLLC was started in October, 2015 by Cathleen A. Mullen, Esq., sole practitioner. Ms. Mullen is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the George Mason University School of Law. She is a member of the Maryland and Virginia bar associations.

Prior to starting Mullen Law, Ms. Mullen served for 20+ years as In-House Counsel (11 years as General Counsel) for a private capital management/real estate company in the Washington, DC area. As General Counsel, Ms. Mullen was heavily involved in the business aspects of the company and brings this business experience with her to her law practice.

Ms. Mullen has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate and contract law. Her practice involves the drafting and negotiating of purchase and sale contracts, leases (mom and pop to national tenants), construction contracts, asset purchase agreements, development agreements, subdivision agreements, ECRs, financing documents, brokerage and management agreements, operating agreements, 1031 exchange documents, etc., for retail, office, industrial and mixed use projects. In addition, Ms. Mullen conducts due diligence services, including title, survey and environmental review. If it involves real estate, she can do it !!

The goal of the Firm is not only to offer practical legal services in a timely manner, but to do so at a reasonable cost to all clients.
